1, 2 [Arabic, p. 170] John 13:23 And one of his disciples was sitting in his bosom, he whom Jesus loved. John 13:24 To him Simon Cephas beckoned, that he should ask him who this was, concerning 3 whom he spoke. John 13:25 And that disciple leaned on Jesus' breast, and said to him, 4 My Lord, who is this? John 13:26 Jesus answered and said, He to whom I shall dip bread, and give it. And Jesus dipped bread, and gave to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot. 5 John 13:27 And after the bread, Satan entered him. And Jesus said to him, What you 6 desirest to do, hasten the doing of it. John 13:28 And no man of them that sat knew why he 7 said this unto him. John 13:29 And some of them thought, because Judas had the box, that he was bidding him buy what would be needed for the feast; or, that he might pay 8 something to the poor. Matthew 26:25 Judas the betrayer answered and said, Can it be I, my 9 Master? Jesus said to him, You have said. John 13:30 And Judas took the bread straightway, and went forth without: and it was still night.
10 John 13:31 And Jesus said, Now is the Son of man being glorified, and God is being glorified 11 in him; John 13:32 and if God is glorified in him, God also will glorify him in him, and straightway will glorify him.
12 Mark 14:22a And while they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and divided; Matthew 26:26b and he 13 gave to his disciples, and said to them, Take and eat; this is my body. Mark 14:23a And he [Arabic, p. 171] took a cup, and gave thanks, and blessed, and gave them, Matthew 26:27b and said, Take 14, 15 and drink of it, all of you. Mark 14:23b And they drank of it, all of them. Mark 14:24a And he said to them, Matthew 26:28 This is my blood, the new covenant, that is shed for many for the 16 forgiveness of sins. Matthew 26:29 I say unto you, I shall not drink henceforth of this, the juice of the vine, until the day in which I drink with you new wine in the kingdom of 17 God. Luke 22:19b And thus do ye in remembrance of me. Luke 22:31 And Jesus said to Simon, Simon, 18 behold, Satan asks that he may sift you like wheat: Luke 22:32 but I entreat for you, that you lose not your faith: and do you, at some time, turn and strengthen your brethren.
19 John 13:33 My children, another little while am I with you. And you shall seek me: and as 20 I said to the Jews, Whither I go, you cannot come; I say unto you now also. John 13:34 A new commandment I give you, that you may love one another; and as I have loved 21 you, so shall you also love one another. John 13:35 By this shall every man know that you are 22 my disciples, if you have love one to another. John 13:36 Simon Cephas said to him, Our Lord, where are you going? Jesus answered and said to him, Whither I go, you can not now follow me; but later you shall come.
23 Matthew 26:31 Then said Jesus unto them, You all shall desert me this night: it is written, I 24 will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered. Matthew 26:32 But after my 25 rising, I shall go before you into Galilee. Matthew 26:33 Simon Cephas answered and said to 26 him, My Lord, if every man desert you, I shall at no time desert you. Luke 22:33b I am with you ready for imprisonment and for death. John 13:37b And my life will I give up for you. 27 [Arabic, p. 172] John 13:38a Jesus said to him, Will you give up your life for me? Mark 14:30b Verily, verily, I say unto you, You shall today, during this night, before the cock crow 28 twice, three times deny me, that you know me not. But Cephas said the more, Even if it lead to death with you, I shall not deny you, my Lord. And in like manner said all the disciples also.
29 John 14:1 Then Jesus said to them, Let not your hearts be troubled: believe in God, 30 and believe in me. John 14:2 The stations in my Father's house are many, else I should 31 have told you. I go to prepare for you a place. John 14:3 And if I go to prepare for you a place, I shall return again, and take you unto me: and so where I am, there ye 32, 33 shall be also. John 14:4 And the place that I go ye know, and the way ye know. John 14:5 Thomas said to him, Our Lord, we know not whither you go, and how is the way for 34 us to the knowledge of that? John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, 35 and the life: and no man comes unto my Father, but through me. John 14:7 And if you had known me, you should have known my Father: and from henceforth ye know him, 36 and have seen him. John 14:8 Philip said to him, Our Lord, show us the Father, and it suffices 37 us. John 14:9 Jesus said to him, Have I been all this time with you, and do you not know me, Philip? whosoever has seen me has seen the Father; how then do you say 38, Show us the Father? John 14:10 Do you not believe that I am in my Father, and my Father in me? And the saying that I say, I say not of myself: but my Father who dwells in 39 me, he does these deeds. John 14:11 Believe that I am in my Father, and my Father in me: 40 [Arabic, p. 173] or else believe for the sake of the deeds. John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever believes in me, the deeds that I do shall he do also; and 41 more than that shall he do: I go unto the Father. John 14:13 And what you shall ask in my 42 name, I shall do unto you, that the Father may be glorified in his Son. John 14:14 And if you 43, 44 ask me in my name, I will do it. John 14:15 If you love me, keep my commandments. John 14:16 And I will entreat of my Father, and he will send unto you another Paraclete, that he 45 may be with you for ever, even the Spirit of truth: John 14:17 whom the world cannot receive; for it has not seen him, nor known him: but you know him; for he has dwelt 46 with you, and is in you. John 14:18 I will not leave you orphans: I will come unto you. 47 John 14:19 Another little while, and the world sees me not; but you see me that I live, and you 48 shall live also. John 14:20 And in that day you shall know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
