These were the numbers the various clans of Israel provided: 3 Pharos, two thousand one hundred and seventy-two, 4 Sephatia, three hundred and seventy-two, 5 Area, seven hundred and seventy-five, 6 Phahath-Moab …[2] Josue-Joab, two thousand eight hundred and twelve, 7 Aelam, one thousand two hundred and fifty-four, 8 Zethua, nine hundred and forty-five, 9 Zachai, seven hundred and sixty, 10 Bani, six hundred and forty-two, 11 Bebai, six hundred and twenty-three, 12 Azgad, one thousand two hundred and twenty-two, 13 Adonicam, six hundred and sixty-six, 14 Beguai, two thousand and fifty-six, 15 Adin, four hundred and fifty-four, 16 Ather, coming from Ezechias, ninety-eight, 17 Besai, three hundred and twenty-three, 18 Jora, a hundred and twelve, 19 Hasum, two hundred and twenty-three. 1 Hi sunt autem provinciæ filii, qui ascenderunt de captivitate, quam transtulerat Nabuchodonosor rex Babylonis in Babylonem, et reversi sunt in Jerusalem et Judam, unusquisque in civitatem suam. 2 Qui venerunt cum Zorobabel, Josue, Nehemia, Saraia, Rahelaia, Mardochai, Belsan, Mesphar, Beguai, Rehum, Baana. 40 καὶ οἱ Λευῖται υἱοὶ Ἰησοῦ καὶ Καδμιηλ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ωδουια ἑβδομήκοντα τέσσαρες 41 οἱ ᾄδοντες υἱοὶ Ασαφ ἑκατὸν εἴκοσι ὀκτώ 42 υἱοὶ τῶν πυλωρῶν υἱοὶ Σαλουμ υἱοὶ Ατηρ υἱοὶ Τελμων υἱοὶ Ακουβ υἱοὶ Ατιτα υἱοὶ Σαβαου οἱ πάντες ἑκατὸν τριάκοντα ἐννέα 40 And the various Levite clans provided: Josue and Cedmihel, that came down from Odovias, seventy-four, 41 Asaph’s sons, the musicians, a hundred and twenty-eight, 42 Sellum, Ater, Telmon, Accub, Hatita and Sobai, the door-keepers, a hundred and thirty-nine in all. 40 Levitæ: filii Josue et Cedmihel filiorum Odoviæ, septuaginta quatuor. 41 Cantores: filii Asaph, centum viginti octo. 42 Filii janitorum: filii Sellum, filii Ater, filii Telmon, filii Accub, filii Hatitha, filii Sobai: universi centum triginta novem.
43 οἱ ναθιναῖοι υἱοὶ Σουια υἱοὶ Ασουφε υἱοὶ Ταβαωθ 44 υἱοὶ Κηραος υἱοὶ Σωηα υἱοὶ Φαδων 45 υἱοὶ Λαβανω υἱοὶ Αγαβα υἱοὶ Ακαβωθ 46 υἱοὶ Αγαβ υἱοὶ Σαμαλαι υἱοὶ Αναν 47 υἱοὶ Κεδελ υἱοὶ Γαερ υἱοὶ Ρεηα 48 υἱοὶ Ρασων υἱοὶ Νεκωδα υἱοὶ Γαζεμ 49 υἱοὶ Ουσα υἱοὶ Φαση υἱοὶ Βασι 50 υἱοὶ Ασενα υἱοὶ Μαωνιμ υἱοὶ Ναφισων 51 υἱοὶ Βακβουκ υἱοὶ Ακιφα υἱοὶ Αρουρ 52 υἱοὶ Βασαλωθ υἱοὶ Μαουδα υἱοὶ Αρησα 53 υἱοὶ Βαρκους υἱοὶ Σισαρα υἱοὶ Θεμα 54 υἱοὶ Νασουε υἱοὶ Ατουφα 55 υἱοὶ Αβδησελμα υἱοὶ Σατι υἱοὶ Ασεφηραθ υἱοὶ Φαδουρα 56 υἱοὶ Ιεηλα υἱοὶ Δαρκων υἱοὶ Γεδηλ 57 υἱοὶ Σαφατια υἱοὶ Ατιλ υἱοὶ Φαχερα{Q-}ασεβωιν υἱοὶ Ημι 58 πάντες οἱ ναθινιν καὶ υἱοὶ Αβδησελμα τριακόσιοι ἐνενήκοντα δύο 43 The Nathinaeans included the sons of Siha, Hasupha, Tabbaoth, 44 Ceros, Siaa, Phadon, 45 Lebana, Hagaba, Accub, 46 Hagab, Semlai, Hanan, 47 Gaddel, Gaher, Raaia, 48 Rasin, Necoda, Gazam, 49 Aza, Phasea, Besee, 50 Asena, Munim, Nephusim, 51 Bacbuc, Hacupha, Harhur, 52 Besluth, Mahida, Harsa, 53 Bercos, Sisara, Thema, 54 Nasia and Hatipha; 55 and Solomon’s servants, including Sotai, Sopheret, Pharuda, 56 Jala, Dercon, Geddel, 57 Saphatia, Hatil, Phochereth from Asebaim, and Ami; 58 these Nathinaeans, including those descended from the servants of Solomon, amounted to three hundred and ninety-two in all. 43 Nathinæi: filii Siha, filii Hasupha, filii Tabbaoth, 44 filii Ceros, filii Siaa, filii Phadon, 45 filii Lebana, filii Hagaba, filii Accub, 46 filii Hagab, filii Semlai, filii Hanan, 47 filii Gaddel, filii Gaher, filii Raaia, 48 filii Rasin, filii Necoda, filii Gazam, 49 filii Aza, filii Phasea, filii Besee, 50 filii Asena, filii Munim, filii Nephusim, 51 filii Bacbuc, filii Hacupha, filii Harhur, 52 filii Besluth, filii Mahida, filii Harsa, 53 filii Bercos, filii Sisara, filii Thema, 54 filii Nasia, filii Hatipha, 55 filii servorum Salomonis, filii Sotai, filii Sophereth, filii Pharuda, 56 filii Jala, filii Dercon, filii Geddel, 57 filii Saphatia, filii Hatil, filii Phochereth, qui erant de Asebaim, filii Ami: 58 omnes Nathinæi, et filii servorum Salomonis, trecenti nonaginta duo.
59 καὶ οὗτοι οἱ ἀναβάντες ἀπὸ Θελμελεθ Θελαρησα Χαρουβ Ηδαν Εμμηρ καὶ οὐκ ἠδυνάσθησαν τοῦ ἀναγγεῖλαι οἶκον πατριᾶς αὐτῶν καὶ σπέρμα αὐτῶν εἰ ἐξ Ισραηλ εἰσίν 60 υἱοὶ Δαλαια υἱοὶ Βουα υἱοὶ Τωβια υἱοὶ Νεκωδα ἑξακόσιοι πεντήκοντα δύο 61 καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν τῶν ἱερέων υἱοὶ Χαβια υἱοὶ Ακους υἱοὶ Βερζελλαι ὃς ἔλαβεν ἀπὸ θυγατέρων Βερζελλαι τοῦ Γαλααδίτου γυναῖκα καὶ ἐκλήθη ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτῶν 62 οὗτοι ἐζήτησαν γραφὴν αὐτῶν οἱ μεθωεσιμ καὶ οὐχ εὑρέθησαν καὶ ἠγχιστεύθησαν ἀπὸ τῆς ἱερατείας 63 καὶ εἶπεν Αθερσαθα αὐτοῖς τοῦ μὴ φαγεῖν ἀπὸ τοῦ ἁγίου τῶν ἁγίων ἕως ἀναστῇ ἱερεὺς τοῖς φωτίζουσιν καὶ τοῖς τελείοις 59 Some of those who came back from Thelmala, Thelharsa, Cherub, Adon and Emer could not prove whence their ancestors came or whether they were of Israelite stock; 60 they were descendants of Dalaia, Tobia and Necoda, amounting to six hundred and fifty-two. 61 Such, too, among the priests were the sons of Hobia, of Accos, and of that Berzellai who married a daughter of Berzellai the Galaadite and took his name;[6] 62 they could find no written record of their ancestry, and were excluded from the priesthood; 63 they might not partake of the food reserved for the priests, the governor told them, until there should be a high priest that bore the touchstones of wisdom and truth.[7] 59 Et hi qui ascenderunt de Thelmala, Thelharsa, Cherub, et Adon, et Emer: et non potuerunt indicare domum patrum suorum et semen suum, utrum ex Israël essent. 60 Filii Dalaia, filii Tobia, filii Necoda, sexcenti quinquaginta duo. 61 Et de filiis sacerdotum: filii Hobia, filii Accos, filii Berzellai, qui accepit de filiabus Berzellai Galaaditis, uxorem, et vocatus est nomine eorum: 62 hi quæsierunt scripturam genealogiæ suæ, et non invenerunt, et ejecti sunt de sacerdotio. 63 Et dixit Athersatha eis ut non comederent de Sancto sanctorum, donec surgeret sacerdos doctus atque perfectus.
64 πᾶσα δὲ ἡ ἐκκλησία ὡς εἷς τέσσαρες μυριάδες δισχίλιοι τριακόσιοι ἑξήκοντα 65 χωρὶς δούλων αὐτῶν καὶ παιδισκῶν αὐτῶν οὗτοι ἑπτακισχίλιοι τριακόσιοι τριάκοντα ἑπτά καὶ οὗτοι ᾄδοντες καὶ ᾄδουσαι διακόσιοι 66 ἵπποι αὐτῶν ἑπτακόσιοι τριάκοντα ἕξ ἡμίονοι αὐτῶν διακόσιοι τεσσαράκοντα πέντε 67 κάμηλοι αὐτῶν τετρακόσιοι τριάκοντα πέντε ὄνοι αὐτῶν ἑξακισχίλιοι ἑπτακόσιοι εἴκοσι 64 The whole number, taken together, amounted to forty-two thousand three hundred and sixty, 65 not counting the men and women servants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred and thirty-seven, with two hundred men and maids that were singers. 66 They had with them seven hundred and thirty-six horses, two hundred and forty-five mules, 67 four hundred and thirty-five camels, six thousand seven hundred and twenty asses. 64 Omnis multitudo quasi unus, quadraginta duo millia trecenti sexaginta: 65 exceptis servis eorum, et ancillis, qui erant septem millia trecenti triginta septem: et in ipsis cantores atque cantatrices ducenti. 66 Equi eorum septingenti triginta sex, muli eorum, ducenti quadraginta quinque, 67 cameli eorum, quadringenti triginta quinque, asini eorum, sex millia septingenti viginti.
68 καὶ ἀπὸ ἀρχόντων πατριῶν ἐν τῷ ἐλθεῖν αὐτοὺς εἰς οἶκον κυρίου τὸν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ ἡκουσιάσαντο εἰς οἶκον τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ στῆσαι αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὴν ἑτοιμασίαν αὐτοῦ 69 ὡς ἡ δύναμις αὐτῶν ἔδωκαν εἰς θησαυρὸν τοῦ ἔργου χρυσίον καθαρόν μναῖ ἓξ μυριάδες καὶ χίλιαι καὶ ἀργύριον μναῖ πεντακισχίλιαι καὶ κοθωνοι τῶν ἱερέων ἑκατόν 70 καὶ ἐκάθισαν οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ οἱ Λευῖται καὶ οἱ ἀπὸ τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ οἱ ᾄδοντες καὶ οἱ πυλωροὶ καὶ οἱ ναθινιμ ἐν πόλεσιν αὐτῶν καὶ πᾶς Ισραηλ ἐν πόλεσιν αὐτῶν 68 Some of the clan chiefs, upon entering the Lord’s temple at Jerusalem, made of their own accord an offering for rebuilding God’s house where it stood; 69 contributing to that end, as their means allowed, sixty-one thousand gold pieces, five thousand silver pieces, and a hundred sets of vestments for the priests. 70 And now priests and Levites (and some of the people), singers, door-keepers and Nathinaeans were back in their own precincts, and all Israel in the cities that were their homes.[8] 68 Et de principibus patrum, cum ingrederentur templum Domini, quod est in Jerusalem, sponte obtulerunt in domum Dei ad exstruendam eam in loco suo. 69 Secundum vires suas dederunt impensas operis, auri solidos sexaginta millia et mille, argenti mnas quinque millia, et vestes sacerdotales centum. 70 Habitaverunt ergo sacerdotes, et Levitæ, et de populo, et cantores, et janitores, et Nathinæi, in urbibus suis, universusque Israël in civitatibus suis.
