1 πᾶν τὸ χρυσίον ὃ κατειργάσθη εἰς τὰ ἔργα κατὰ πᾶσαν τὴν ἐργασίαν τῶν ἁγίων ἐγένετο χρυσίου τοῦ τῆς ἀπαρχῆς ἐννέα καὶ εἴκοσι τάλαντα καὶ ἑπτακόσιοι εἴκοσι σίκλοι κατὰ τὸν σίκλον τὸν ἅγιον 2 καὶ ἀργυρίου ἀφαίρεμα παρὰ τῶν ἐπεσκεμμένων ἀνδρῶν τῆς συναγωγῆς ἑκατὸν τάλαντα καὶ χίλιοι ἑπτακόσιοι ἑβδομήκοντα πέντε σίκλοι 3 δραχμὴ μία τῇ κεφαλῇ τὸ ἥμισυ τοῦ σίκλου κατὰ τὸν σίκλον τὸν ἅγιον πᾶς ὁ παραπορευόμενος τὴν ἐπίσκεψιν ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω εἰς τὰς ἑξήκοντα μυριάδας καὶ τρισχίλιοι πεντακόσιοι καὶ πεντήκοντα 4 καὶ ἐγενήθη τὰ ἑκατὸν τάλαντα τοῦ ἀργυρίου εἰς τὴν χώνευσιν τῶν ἑκατὸν κεφαλίδων τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ εἰς τὰς κεφαλίδας τοῦ καταπετάσματος ἑκατὸν κεφαλίδες εἰς τὰ ἑκατὸν τάλαντα τάλαντον τῇ κεφαλίδι 5 καὶ τοὺς χιλίους ἑπτακοσίους ἑβδομήκοντα πέντε σίκλους ἐποίησαν εἰς τὰς ἀγκύλας τοῖς στύλοις καὶ κατεχρύσωσεν τὰς κεφαλίδας αὐτῶν καὶ κατεκόσμησεν αὐτούς 6 καὶ ὁ χαλκὸς τοῦ ἀφαιρέματος ἑβδομήκοντα τάλαντα καὶ χίλιοι πεντακόσιοι σίκλοι 7 καὶ ἐποίησεν ἐξ αὐτοῦ τὰς βάσεις τῆς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου | 1 Besellel made vestments, too, of blue and purple, scarlet and lawn, for Aaron to wear when he ministered in the holy place, as the Lord had prescribed them to Moses. 2 He made a mantle of gold and blue and purple and scarlet twice-dyed, and of twisted linen thread, 3 all embroidered work; to do this, he must needs cut up gold leaf and spin it into threads, so that it could be worked into the rest of the coloured woof. 4 At the top, on either side, he made two shoulder-pieces joined together, 5 and a band[1] of the same colours, as the Lord had prescribed to Moses. 6 He also provided two onyx-stones, closely set in gold, and inscribed by a gem-carver with the names of Israel’s sons; 7 these, according to the prescription which the Lord had given Moses, he let into the sides of the mantle, to keep the sons of Israel in memory. | 1 De hyacintho vero et purpura, vermiculo ac bysso, fecit vestes, quibus indueretur Aaron quando ministrabat in sanctis, sicut præcepit Dominus Moysi. 2 Fecit igitur superhumerale de auro, hyacintho, et purpura, coccoque bis tincto, et bysso retorta, 3 opere polymitario: inciditque bracteas aureas, et extenuavit in fila, ut possent torqueri cum priorum colorum subtegmine, 4 duasque oras sibi invicem copulatas in utroque latere summitatum, 5 et balteum ex eisdem coloribus, sicut præceperat Dominus Moysi. 6 Paravit et duos lapides onychinos, astrictos et inclusos auro, et sculptos arte gemmaria nominibus filiorum Israël: 7 posuitque eos in lateribus superhumeralis in monimentum filiorum Israël, sicut præceperat Dominus Moysi. |
8 καὶ τὰς βάσεις τῆς αὐλῆς κύκλῳ καὶ τὰς βάσεις τῆς πύλης τῆς αὐλῆς καὶ τοὺς πασσάλους τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ τοὺς πασσάλους τῆς αὐλῆς κύκλῳ 9 καὶ τὸ παράθεμα τὸ χαλκοῦν τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου καὶ πάντα τὰ ἐργαλεῖα τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου 10 καὶ ἐποίησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ καθὰ συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ οὕτως ἐποίησαν 11 τὸ δὲ λοιπὸν χρυσίον τοῦ ἀφαιρέματος ἐποίησαν σκεύη εἰς τὸ λειτουργεῖν ἐν αὐτοῖς ἔναντι κυρίου 12 καὶ τὴν καταλειφθεῖσαν ὑάκινθον καὶ πορφύραν καὶ τὸ κόκκινον ἐποίησαν στολὰς λειτουργικὰς Ααρων ὥστε λειτουργεῖν ἐν αὐταῖς ἐν τῷ ἁγίῳ 13 καὶ ἤνεγκαν τὰς στολὰς πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ τὴν σκηνὴν καὶ τὰ σκεύη αὐτῆς καὶ τὰς βάσεις καὶ τοὺς μοχλοὺς αὐτῆς καὶ τοὺς στύλους 14 καὶ τὴν κιβωτὸν τῆς διαθήκης καὶ τοὺς διωστῆρας αὐτῆς 15 καὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτοῦ καὶ τὸ ἔλαιον τῆς χρίσεως καὶ τὸ θυμίαμα τῆς συνθέσεως 16 καὶ τὴν λυχνίαν τὴν καθαρὰν καὶ τοὺς λύχνους αὐτῆς λύχνους τῆς καύσεως καὶ τὸ ἔλαιον τοῦ φωτὸς 17 καὶ τὴν τράπεζαν τῆς προθέσεως καὶ πάντα τὰ αὐτῆς σκεύη καὶ τοὺς ἄρτους τοὺς προκειμένους 18 καὶ τὰς στολὰς τοῦ ἁγίου αἵ εἰσιν Ααρων καὶ τὰς στολὰς τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ εἰς τὴν ἱερατείαν 19 καὶ τὰ ἱστία τῆς αὐλῆς καὶ τοὺς στύλους καὶ τὸ καταπέτασμα τῆς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ τῆς πύλης τῆς αὐλῆς καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ πάντα τὰ ἐργαλεῖα αὐτῆς | 8 He made a burse, too, of embroidered work, of the same pattern as the mantle itself, of gold and blue and purple and scarlet twice-dyed, and twisted linen thread, 9 a folded square of a palm’s breadth either way. 10 And he set in it four rows of stones; in the first row a sardius, a topaz, and an emerald; 11 in the second, a carbuncle, a sapphire, and a jasper-stone; 12 in the third, a jacynth, an agate, and an amethyst; 13 in the fourth, a chrysolite, an onyx-stone, and a beryl; all the rows were closely set in gold. 14 And these stones were inscribed with the names of the twelve tribes of Israel, one on each. 15 On the burse, they put chains of pure gold, fastened together, 16 and two hooks, and two rings, all of gold. The rings they set on either side of the burse, 17 so that the two gold chains could hang from them, and these fitted the hooks which stood out from the corners of the mantle. 18 They met before and behind in such a way that mantle and burse were linked together, 19 tied to the strongly fastened rings of the band by a blue cord, so that they should not hang loose, and come apart; so the Lord had prescribed to Moses. | 8 Fecit et rationale opere polymito juxta opus superhumeralis, ex auro, hyacintho, purpura, coccoque bis tincto, et bysso retorta: 9 quadrangulum, duplex, mensuræ palmi. 10 Et posuit in eo gemmarum ordines quatuor. 20 καὶ τὰς διφθέρας δέρματα κριῶν ἠρυθροδανωμένα καὶ τὰ καλύμματα δέρματα ὑακίνθινα καὶ τῶν λοιπῶν τὰ ἐπικαλύμματα 21 καὶ τοὺς πασσάλους καὶ πάντα τὰ ἐργαλεῖα τὰ εἰς τὰ ἔργα τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου 22 ὅσα συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ οὕτως ἐποίησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ πᾶσαν τὴν ἀποσκευήν 23 καὶ εἶδεν Μωυσῆς πάντα τὰ ἔργα καὶ ἦσαν πεποιηκότες αὐτὰ ὃν τρόπον συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ οὕτως ἐποίησαν αὐτά καὶ εὐλόγησεν αὐτοὺς Μωυσῆς 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 | 20 They made a tunic, too, to go with the mantle, all of blue, 21 with an opening in the middle of it at the top, that had a woven border round it. 22 Underneath, round the skirt of it, there were ornaments of blue thread and purple and scarlet, and twisted linen thread, pomegranate-shaped; 23 bells, too, of pure gold, which they put in between the pomegranates all round, at the edge of the tunic; 24 first a golden bell, then a pomegranate. Such, according to the prescription the Lord had given Moses, was to be the dress of the priest when he went in to perform his sacred office. 25 They made, too, woven robes of lawn for Aaron and his sons, 26 and mitres of lawn with rings about them, 27 breeches, too, woven of fine linen thread, 28 and a girdle of twisted linen thread, embroidered with threads of blue and purple and scarlet twice-dyed, as the Lord had prescribed to Moses. 29 They also made a plate of pure gold, a thing most sacred, inscribed with all the engraver’s skill, with the words, Set apart for the Lord; 30 and this, according to the prescription the Lord gave Moses, they fastened with a blue cord to the mitre. | 20 Feceruntque quoque tunicam superhumeralis totam hyacinthinam, 21 et capitium in superiori parte contra medium, oramque per gyrum capitii textilem: 22 deorsum autem ad pedes mala punica ex hyacintho, purpura, vermiculo, ac bysso retorta: 23 et tintinnabula de auro purissimo, quæ posuerunt inter malogranata, in extrema parte tunicæ per gyrum: 24 tintinnabulum autem aureum, et malum punicum, quibus ornatus incedebat pontifex quando ministerio fungebatur, sicut præceperat Dominus Moysi. 25 Fecerunt et tunicas byssinas opere textili Aaron et filiis ejus: 26 et mitras cum coronulis suis ex bysso: 27 feminalia quoque linea, byssina: 28 cingulum vero de bysso retorta, hyacintho, purpura, ac vermiculo bis tincto, arte plumaria, sicut præceperat Dominus Moysi. 29 Fecerunt et laminam sacræ venerationis de auro purissimo, scripseruntque in ea opere gemmario, Sanctum Domini: 30 et strinxerunt eam cum mitra vitta hyacinthina, sicut præceperat Dominus Moysi. |
31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 39 40 41 42 43 | 31 So the sons of Israel finished making the tabernacle, and all that covered in the sacred record, carrying out all the prescriptions the Lord had given to Moses. 32 And they brought the tabernacle to Moses, the tent itself and all its furniture, rings, frames, poles, posts and sockets; 33 the canopy of rams’ fleeces dyed red, and the other canopy of skins dyed violet; 34 the veil, the ark with its poles, and the throne; 35 the table with its appurtenances and the loaves that were to be set out on it; 36 the lamp-stand, with its lamps and its other appurtenances, and the oil for it; 37 the golden altar, the ointment, and the incense made from spices; 38 the hanging for the tabernacle approach; 39 the brazen altar, with its grate, its poles, and all its appurtenances; the basin with its stand; the hangings for the court, and the posts with their sockets; 40 the hanging for the entrance of the court, its ropes and its pegs. Nothing was missing of all the appurtenances that had been prescribed for the needs of the tabernacle, the shrine of the covenant. 41 The vestments, too, that were to be worn by the priests, both Aaron himself and his sons, in the sanctuary, 42 were brought to Moses by the Israelites, in fulfilment of the Lord’s command. 43 And when Moses saw that they had completed all their task, he gave them his blessing. | 31 Perfectum est igitur omne opus tabernaculi et tecti testimonii: feceruntque filii Israël cuncta quæ præceperat Dominus Moysi. 32 Et obtulerunt tabernaculum et tectum et universam supellectilem, annulos, tabulas, vectes, columnas ac bases, 33 opertorium de pellibus arietum rubricatis, et aliud operimentum de janthinis pellibus, 34 velum; arcam, vectes, propitiatorium, 35 mensam cum vasis suis et propositionis panibus; 36 candelabrum, lucernas, et utensilia earum cum oleo; 37 altare aureum, et unguentum, et thymiama ex aromatibus, 38 et tentorium in introitu tabernaculi; 39 altare æneum, retiaculum, vectes, et vasa ejus omnia; labrum cum basi sua; tentoria atrii, et columnas cum basibus suis; 40 tentorium in introitu atrii, funiculosque illius et paxillos.
