1 εἰς τὸ τέλος ἐν ὕμνοις τῷ Δαυιδ | 1 (To the choir-master. For stringed instruments. Of David.) | 1 In finem. In hymnis David. |
2 εἰσάκουσον ὁ θεός τῆς δεήσεώς μου πρόσχες τῇ προσευχῇ μου 3 ἀπὸ τῶν περάτων τῆς γῆς πρὸς σὲ ἐκέκραξα ἐν τῷ ἀκηδιάσαι τὴν καρδίαν μου ἐν πέτρᾳ ὕψωσάς με 4 ὡδήγησάς με ὅτι ἐγενήθης ἐλπίς μου πύργος ἰσχύος ἀπὸ προσώπου ἐχθροῦ 5 παροικήσω ἐν τῷ σκηνώματί σου εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας σκεπασθήσομαι ἐν σκέπῃ τῶν πτερύγων σου διάψαλμα 6 ὅτι σύ ὁ θεός εἰσήκουσας τῶν εὐχῶν μου ἔδωκας κληρονομίαν τοῖς φοβουμένοις τὸ ὄνομά σου 7 ἡμέρας ἐ{F'} ἡμέρας βασιλέως προσθήσεις ἔτη αὐτοῦ ἕως ἡμέρας γενεᾶς καὶ γενεᾶς 8 διαμενεῖ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ ἔλεος καὶ ἀλήθειαν αὐτοῦ τίς ἐκζητήσει 9 οὕτως ψαλῶ τῷ ὀνόματί σου εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ αἰῶνος τοῦ ἀποδοῦναί με τὰς εὐχάς μου ἡμέραν ἐξ ἡμέρας | 2 Listen, Lord, to this cry of appeal; do not let my prayer go unheeded, 3 though it be from the ends of the earth that I call upon thee. When my heart misgives me, thou wilt set me high up on a rock, thou wilt bring me repose; 4 thou, my only hope, my strong tower against the assault of my enemies. 5 Oh let me dwell for ever in thy tabernacle, let me take refuge under the shelter of thy wings! 6 Lord, thou hast listened to my prayer, a domain thou hast given me where thy name is held in awe. 7 Year upon year do thou add to the king’s reign; while generations come and go, may his life still last. 8 For ever may he reign under God’s favour; let mercy and faithfulness be his escort. 9 Eternally I will sing thy praises, day after day perform my vows. | 2 Exaudi, Deus, deprecationem meam; intende orationi meæ. 3 A finibus terræ ad te clamavi, dum anxiaretur cor meum; in petra exaltasti me. Deduxisti me, 4 quia factus es spes mea: turris fortitudinis a facie inimici. 5 Inhabitabo in tabernaculo tuo in sæcula; protegar in velamento alarum tuarum. 6 Quoniam tu, Deus meus, exaudisti orationem meam; dedisti hæreditatem timentibus nomen tuum. 7 Dies super dies regis adjicies; annos ejus usque in diem generationis et generationis. 8 Permanet in æternum in conspectu Dei: misericordiam et veritatem ejus quis requiret? 9 Sic psalmum dicam nomini tuo in sæculum sæculi, ut reddam vota mea de die in diem. |
