εἰς τὸ τέλος τῷ Δαυιδ εἰς ἀνάμνησιν  (To the choir-master. Of David. A commemoration.)[1] In finem. Psalmus David in rememorationem, quod salvum fecerit eum Dominus.
2 εἰς τὸ σῶσαί με κύριον ὁ θεός εἰς τὴν βοήθειάν μου πρόσχες 3 αἰσχυνθείησαν καὶ ἐντραπείησαν οἱ ζητοῦντές μου τὴν ψυχήν ἀποστραφείησαν εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω καὶ καταισχυνθείησαν οἱ βουλόμενοί μοι κακά 4 ἀποστραφείησαν παραυτίκα αἰσχυνόμενοι οἱ λέγοντές μοι εὖγε εὖγε 5 ἀγαλλιάσθωσαν καὶ εὐφρανθήτωσαν ἐπὶ σοὶ πάντες οἱ ζητοῦντές σε καὶ λεγέτωσαν διὰ παντός μεγαλυνθήτω ὁ θεός οἱ ἀγαπῶντες τὸ σωτήριόν σου 6 ἐγὼ δὲ πτωχὸς καὶ πένης ὁ θεός βοήθησόν μοι βοηθός μου καὶ ῥύστης μου εἶ σύ κύριε μὴ χρονίσῃς 2 Deign, O God, to set me free; Lord, make haste to help me. 3 Disappoint them, put them to the blush, the enemies who plot against my life! 4 Baffled let them go their way, that rejoice at my ill fortune; slink away in confusion, that crowed over me so loud! 5 Triumphant joy be theirs, who long for thee; Praise to the Lord, be ever their song, who look eagerly now for thy succour. 6 Thou seest me helpless and destitute; my God, help me. Thou art my champion and my deliverer; Lord, do not delay thy coming. 2 Deus, in adjutorium meum intende;
Domine, ad adjuvandum me festina.
3
Confundantur, et revereantur, qui quærunt animam meam.
4
Avertantur retrorsum, et erubescant, qui volunt mihi mala;
avertantur statim erubescentes qui dicunt mihi: Euge, euge!
5
Exsultent et lætentur in te omnes qui quærunt te;
et dicant semper: Magnificetur Dominus, qui diligunt salutare tuum.
6
Ego vero egenus et pauper sum;
Deus, adjuva me.
Adjutor meus et liberator meus es tu;
Domine, ne moreris.
Psalmus David, filiorum Jonadab, et priorum captivorum.
