εἰς τὸ τέλος τοῖς υἱοῖς Κορε ψαλμός  (To the choir-master. Of the sons of Core. A psalm.) In finem, filiis Core. Psalmus.
2 εὐδόκησας κύριε τὴν γῆν σου ἀπέστρεψας τὴν αἰχμαλωσίαν Ιακωβ 3 ἀφῆκας τὰς ἀνομίας τῷ λαῷ σου ἐκάλυψας πάσας τὰς ἁμαρτίας αὐτῶν διάψαλμα 4 κατέπαυσας πᾶσαν τὴν ὀργήν σου ἀπέστρεψας ἀπὸ ὀργῆς θυμοῦ σου 5 ἐπίστρεψον ἡμᾶς ὁ θεὸς τῶν σωτηρίων ἡμῶν καὶ ἀπόστρεψον τὸν θυμόν σου ἀ{F'} ἡμῶν 6 μὴ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ὀργισθήσῃ ἡμῖν ἢ διατενεῖς τὴν ὀργήν σου ἀπὸ γενεᾶς εἰς γενεάν 7 ὁ θεός σὺ ἐπιστρέψας ζωώσεις ἡμᾶς καὶ ὁ λαός σου εὐφρανθήσεται ἐπὶ σοί 8 δεῖξον ἡμῖν κύριε τὸ ἔλεός σου καὶ τὸ σωτήριόν σου δῴης ἡμῖν 2 What blessings, Lord, thou hast granted to this land of thine, restoring Jacob’s fortunes, 3 pardoning thy people’s guilt, burying away the record of their sins, 4 all thy anger calmed, thy fierce displeasure forgotten! 5 And now, God of our deliverance, do thou restore us; no longer let us see thy frown. 6 Wouldst thou always be indignant with us? Must thy resentment smoulder on, age after age? 7 Wilt thou never relent, O God, and give fresh life, to rejoice the spirits of thy people? 8 Shew us thy mercy, Lord; grant us thy deliverance! 2 Benedixisti, Domine, terram tuam;
avertisti captivitatem Jacob.
3
Remisisti iniquitatem plebis tuæ;
operuisti omnia peccata eorum.
4
Mitigasti omnem iram tuam;
avertisti ab ira indignationis tuæ.
5
Converte nos, Deus salutaris noster,
et averte iram tuam a nobis.
6
Numquid in æternum irasceris nobis?
aut extendes iram tuam a generatione in generationem?
7
Deus, tu conversus vivificabis nos,
et plebs tua lætabitur in te.
8
Ostende nobis, Domine, misericordiam tuam,
et salutare tuum da nobis.
9 ἀκούσομαι τί λαλήσει ἐν ἐμοὶ κύριος ὁ θεός ὅτι λαλήσει εἰρήνην ἐπὶ τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς ὁσίους αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς ἐπιστρέφοντας πρὸς αὐτὸν καρδίαν 10 πλὴν ἐγγὺς τῶν φοβουμένων αὐτὸν τὸ σωτήριον αὐτοῦ τοῦ κατασκηνῶσαι δόξαν ἐν τῇ γῇ ἡμῶν 11 ἔλεος καὶ ἀλήθεια συνήντησαν δικαιοσύνη καὶ εἰρήνη κατεφίλησαν 12 ἀλήθεια ἐκ τῆς γῆς ἀνέτειλεν καὶ δικαιοσύνη ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ διέκυψεν 13 καὶ γὰρ ὁ κύριος δώσει χρηστότητα καὶ ἡ γῆ ἡμῶν δώσει τὸν καρπὸν αὐτῆς 14 δικαιοσύνη ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ προπορεύσεται καὶ θήσει εἰς ὁδὸν τὰ διαβήματα αὐτοῦ 9 Let me listen, now, to the voice of the Lord God; it is a message of peace he sends to his people; to his loyal servants, that come back, now, with all their heart to him. 10 For us, his worshippers, deliverance is close at hand; in this land of ours, the divine glory is to find a home. 11 See, where mercy and faithfulness meet in one; how justice and peace are united in one embrace! 12 Faithfulness grows up out of the earth, and from heaven, redress looks down.[1] 13 The Lord, now, will grant us his blessing, to make our land yield its harvest; 14 justice will go on before him, deliverance follow where his feet tread. 9
Audiam quid loquatur in me Dominus Deus,
quoniam loquetur pacem in plebem suam,
et super sanctos suos,
et in eos qui convertuntur ad cor.
10
Verumtamen prope timentes eum salutare ipsius,
ut inhabitet gloria in terra nostra.
11
Misericordia et veritas obviaverunt sibi;
justitia et pax osculatæ sunt.
12
Veritas de terra orta est,
et justitia de cælo prospexit.
13
Etenim Dominus dabit benignitatem,
et terra nostra dabit fructum suum.
14
Justitia ante eum ambulabit,
et ponet in via gressus suos.
